On the occasion of the press conference for Silk, presented out of competition, the entire crew fielded questions from journalists. Among those present: director Chao Pin Su, actors Karena Lam, Barbie Hsu and Cheng Chang, as well as producer Ming Tu. Highlights.
On the belief in ghosts:Chao Pin Su: "Even if I live in Asia, where everybody believes in ghosts, where the living 'live' with them, I in no way believe in them."Barbie Hsu: "I've believed in ghosts ever since I was a kid. At the outset, I was even afraid of reading the script. Then, I confided it to my sister who assured me that it was a good story with certain limits. Sometimes, it was difficult on the shoot, notably for the scene where I wear a lot of make-up. I had stomach cramps and a little fever. My mother told me it was just fatigue and not the resentment of a ghost."
