The $5m film is written and directed by Taiwan's leading screenwriter Su Chao-pin, whose credits include thriller Double Vision and Peter Chan's Three: Going Home. Su's second film as director following the award-winning Better Than Sex, Silk follows a group of scientists who accidentally capture the energy of ghost child who is unaware that he is dead.
The cast features Taiwanese star Chang Chen (2046, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon), Japan's Yousuke Eguchi and Hong Kong actress Karena Lam. Behind the camera talent includes Bulletproof Monk action director Dong Wei and Kill Bill production designer Yohei Taneda.
